services

We offer specialty dental treatment to children, teens, and young adults. All families are welcome and no referral is needed. Our doctors are certified specialists in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Call us, email, or just drop in to say ‘hi’ and book in person!

Pediatric Dentistry

We look forward to seeing your baby for their first visit. Your child will receive a comprehensive examination. Questions? We are happy to answer them. We practice preventive dentistry and at this visit, we will provide you with all the information your child needs to grow up with a healthy smile!
These are regular, preventive visits that our little patients really enjoy. At every check up, the doctor will complete a thorough examination, assess the health of the teeth, gums & mouth, clean any plaque or tartar build up, polish all of the teeth, and monitor your child’s growth and dental development. Ensuring that they are on the right track to a beautiful, healthy smile.
Sealants are a protective coating placed on the grooves of the teeth to help prevent cavities from forming. They are a simple and effective way of preventing cavities.
Cavities happen! We can often fix them simply and easily. If a cavity needs to be fixed, we offer both white and silver fillings. We will show you where the cavity is, explain what type of filling is recommended, and answer any questions you may have.
If a cavity is too large for a filling, a crown may be recommended to help protect the tooth. Crowns can be silver or white. We will show you where it is needed, and explain to you the difference between the two.
Accidents happen! We understand that it can be a scary time, and we are trained to deal with it. If your child has a dental emergency or dental trauma, call us immediately. We will gladly fit you in as soon as possible.
Sometimes little ones need extra support in getting them through their dental appointment. We are specially trained and certified to provide sedation to children. We offer all sedation options, ranging from laughing gas, to conscious sedation, to dentistry while asleep, overseen by a medical anesthesiologist. We will gladly explain to you what option is recommended, and answer any questions you may have.
Baby teeth are important! One of the many things they do is hold space and help guide the eruption of the adult teeth. If your child has lost a baby tooth early, we can discuss whether a space maintainer is needed to hold the space for the developing adult tooth.
At every check up, we will continually assess your child’s growth and dental development, to ensure that their teeth, gums, and mouth are developing into a beautiful, healthy smile.

Orthodontics

Sometimes a little treatment early on can greatly improve your child’s teeth in terms of crowding, alignment, and bite. Most kids do not need orthodontic treatment at a young age, but some small problems, if caught and corrected early, can prevent larger issues from developing in the future.
Most teens and young adults can’t wait to get their braces – they love choosing different colours, and matching colours with their friends, sports or school teams. We offer both metal and clear braces, and Invisalign for those not wanting braces at all!

Pediatric Dentistry

Both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend that children have their first dental visit by age 1. We practice preventive dentistry, and would love to provide you with all the information you need to ensure your child has excellent oral health.
No! New patients are always welcome and we provide specialty pediatric dental care to all children, teens, and young adults. Call, email, or simply drop in to say ‘hi’ and we will gladly schedule your first appointment at a time that works for you!
Pediatric dentists are specialists. All pediatric specialists become dentists first, then spend an extra 3 years of specialty training in a children’s hospital. We specialize in children’s oral health. We are qualified to care for children’s unique needs, including those children who are anxious or nervous.
At the first visit, the doctor will complete a thorough examination. We will answer all your questions, polish your child’s teeth, and provide you a full demonstration on how to care for your little one’s teeth. We will discuss how to prevent cavities to ensure your child has good oral health. We love meeting new patients, and many parents tell us their first visit was fun, relaxing & very educational.
Our office is specifically designed for kids. Our team focuses solely on children, and our doctors are specialists in caring for kids. We are qualified to care for children’s unique needs, including those children who are anxious or nervous. Many of our little patients love coming back to our office, to play on the Ipads, watch Netflix, collect stickers & prizes, and even to pick out their own toothpaste flavours! We cater to the specific needs of children!
Absolutely! Parents are always welcome to stay with their children during their appointment.
Baby teeth are very important for many reasons. They are used for chewing and maintaining a healthy diet. They’re also important for the development of facial muscles, speech, smiling, social development, and for guiding the eruption of the adult teeth. If left untreated, cavities can lead to pain, swelling and infection.
Great question! The answer is… it depends on the child. When you come in for your check up, we will happily assess your child’s teeth and discuss whether a fluoride toothpaste is recommended, and if so, how much you should use.
We do! We want to make it as easy as possible for your child to receive the specialized dental care they need. We provide direct billing to your insurance company, and will also submit the forms electronically to your insurance company so they receive all of the information without any delay.
We accept all major credit cards including VISA and MasterCard, as well as Interac debit, and cash.
We understand that life can be unpredictable and your schedule may change, especially with little ones! We kindly ask that you provide us with 48 hours notice if you need to change your appointment so that we can reserve another time that is more convenient for you.

Orthodontics

Both the American Association of Orthodontists and Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommend that children have their first appointment with an orthodontist at age 7. Most children do not need any treatment at that age, but some small problems, when corrected early on, can avoid larger issues from developing in the future. And remember, the consultation appointment is always complimentary!
No! New patients are always welcome. Call, email, or simply drop in to say ‘hi’ and we will gladly schedule your first complimentary consultation appointment at a time that works for you!
Orthodontists are dental specialists. All orthodontists become dentists first, and then spend an extra 3 years of specialty training to become an orthodontist. Orthodontists are specialists in aligning teeth, correcting the bite, and improving function.
At the first visit, the doctor will complete a thorough examination. Often, no treatment is needed. But if any orthodontic problems exist, we will show you what the problem is, explain what the recommended treatment options are, and answer any questions you may have about your child’s condition and treatment needs. We love meeting new patients, and many patients tell us their first visit was fun & relaxing!
Braces are not just about having straight teeth and a beautiful smile – although that’s one great benefit of it! It’s also about having healthy teeth and getting your bite right. Having straight teeth and a good bite can reduce the risk of cavities, gum disease, and even help you chew and speak.
Not at all! Nowadays, braces are small, low-profile and comfortable. After a period of adjustment, many of our patients tell us the braces are very comfortable and they no longer even notice it.
Our goal is to have the braces on for as little time as possible, and will not keep them on a day longer than they need to be. At your consultation appointment, we will discuss how long we estimate your treatment to take. A common range is between 6 months to 2 years.
We want orthodontic treatment to be convenient for you! On average, patients only need to come in for an appointment every 1-2 months. Parents always tell us it is very easy to fit these appointments into their busy schedules.
We have lots of options! Most teens prefer metal braces, but we also have clear (white) braces for those wanting a less obvious look. Alternatively, we also offer clear aligners (Invisalign) for those who don’t want braces at all. No matter what your preference, we have an option for you!
Of course! Many of our patients play a variety of sports as well as musical instruments. We recommend that all our patients continue to be active and have fun! After a short adjustment period, many patients say they don’t even notice their braces anymore.
Yes! We want you to keep that beautiful, healthy smile that we’ve created for you. A set of retainers is included with your treatment. Wearing retainers is easy. Most patients only need to wear them overnight, so no one will even know!
The exact cost for braces will vary from patient to patient based on the appliances used and treatment needed. We strive to make orthodontics accessible to everyone, and will work within your budget to make it affordable for you. We offer flexible payment plans with zero-interest financing. And of course, the consultation appointment is always complimentary!
It depends! Some insurance plans cover the cost of braces, and some do not. We will help you fill out all the necessary paperwork so you can submit it to your insurance company without any delay.
Of course! We offer flexible payment plans, and always with zero-interest financing. We want braces to be accessible to everyone, and will work within your budget to make it affordable for you.
Netflix, Ipads, video games, play area, & more!
